The Great Canadian Adventure!
Day 6 by Kenny

Thursday morning, we woke up with the sun once more. We stayed in a Walmart parking lot with a few other overnighters it seemed and once we had some breakfast we hit the road to check out some of the cool sights Montreal had to offer.

The first on the list was the Biosphere! I really wanted to climb all over this thing but that wasn’t going to play out for me in the long run I had a feeling.

From here about 5 minutes away we stopped at Habitat 67. This is an apartment setup styled after storage containers that was built in 1967. It has some pretty awesome designs and flowed well with the other architecture in this city.

Our next stop was a quick one because we couldn’t find any parking, but we swung by the Notre Dame Basilica to grab a few quick pictures. Downtown Montreal is a really hectic place but would be really neat to explore if you had a bicycle to get around with. This would be a neat place to stay for a long weekend.

We then had another long drive to get to our next stop which was Niagara Falls. This was originally on our Itinerary but was taken off due to Time constraints – however we decided it only added an hour on to our drive or so- so we made it work. It did provide a good few pit stops on the way like this beach on Lake Ontario!

Once we finally made it closer to Niagara we also saw this awesome shored ship in a section on the lake! It looked like some kids had maybe gone out here and unhooked some of the wires so you could maybe turn it in to a big rope swing! I really wanted to go out there and check it out, but the weather had dropped to the low 60’s and the wind was blowing pretty hard – it would have been a cooool swim!

We then headed in to the city and grabbed a quick bite to eat at the Flying Saucer, it was not the best stop but Dad was super excited to eat in a UFO ha-ha.

After dinner we drove a few minutes down to the falls parkway and got out to walk along the side of the falls. I tell you what – this is one of the prettiest sites I have ever seen. The lights on these huge falls change color and eventually show the Canadian and US Colors. It. Is. Awesome.

Here is another picture just for fun because it is so pretty. After our walk, we went back to a hotel I had got on deal so we had a place to stay other than the van and we would start our journey homeward the next day.
