Waking up on our last morning we had some doubts on how the day would go. We overslept our alarm by an hour - because i forgot to turn them on -__-. But that didn't stop of from having a great day. We had made some plans to attempt to go kayaking early in the morning before making the drive back to anchorage to catch our flight. SO we packed up and headed down to the bay to see if we could make a last minute booking since we were unable to make it online or on the phone. ![blogPics](/static/img/seward3/s0.jpg "Exploring downtown") After getting there early we were unable to grab a early spot for sea kayaking but we did end up snagging a mid day slot from 11:30 am to 4pm. From there we would have to leave directly from Seward to anchorage to board our flights. so we headed back to the room to shower and pack our bags properly instead of throwing them together as well as eat a real breakfast. ![blogPics](/static/img/seward3/s1.jpg "Kayaking in the Bay") After getting situated we headed back over to the bay to start kayaking. We were worried that the day would end up being overcast with rain but in reality the day was looking pretty fantastic. As we started out in the bay, we were kayaking in a two person kayak and that was a pretty neat experience. It took some cooperation for us to actually get moving places easily but after a few minutes we started to make great time. ![blogPics](/static/img/seward3/s2.jpg "Beautiful day kayaking!") We ended up going a long way along the shoreline until we got to a beach area. Here we found two folks who were trapped as they had started hiking to a campsite that uses a trail along the shoreline at low tide. Unfortunately they did not plan accordingly and were caught at high tide at this beach area. Along with this beach area came a short hike over to Bridal Veil Falls. This was an awesome surprise for us because we were not expecting to even go near this area!| After the falls we took a quick break to grab lunch thanks to our guide Sal. we had some hot chocolate and graham bunnies which were great! After lunch we packed back up and paddled back to the shore. Or return trip was much faster as we had the current and a tail wind with us.![blogPics](/static/img/seward3/s3.jpg "Bridal Veil Falls") Once we made it to the shore we thanks Sal and hopped in the car and headed back to anchorage. By the time we made it back it was a bit late and we had no real lunch at this point. so we grabbed some dinner and went straight to the airport to check in. From here we would both leave each other with destinations back to WI and NC. So ended our awesome trip to alaska! This place is a must see and go. It's worth the trip 1000%!
