Day 15 - Back home again by Kenny & Kristen

We woke up on Sunday for our last day of driving in the van. The last thing on our itinerary was to visit my grandparents in Newport News, VA so that we could share the news about our engagement in person. We visited outside with masks on, because of COVID, but we had a really nice time and were able to give them a distanced tour of the van! After we said our goodbyes, we packed up for the final drive home. The last 3 1/2 hours of driving felt like the longest yet. Going home feels a little bitter sweet. Kenny has to go back to work and I have school again starting in a week. It will be nice to have a hot shower in our home, but we are sad to end our Maine adventure. We're looking forward to heading back up North in the future and in the meantime we're hoping to take the van on lots of local overnight trips this Fall.
